   Correct, but ITYF "diminished fifth" is the preferred term for the   
   alternative. ;)   
      
   The tritone is so called because it comprises three whole tones -- six   
   semitones or half an octave. In the well-tempered scale the higher   
   frequency is the square root of 2 times the lower. OTOH the perfect   
   fourth comprises five semitones, with a frequency ratio of 4:3   
   (well-tempered 2^(5/12) ~= 1.3348). Tritones occur in diminished triads   
   (with the minor third) and diminished-seventh chords.   
      
   Diminished triads can be found in the songs "Michelle" (Paul) and   
   "Because" (John), among others.
