   thank you for your blessing, sire. hitting the road tommorow. you'll get   
   a road trip. I've been shooting footage now-ranging from 8mm tape (back   
   in '96) to the latest stuff on HD 1440X1080i (High Def). This caper aims   
   to bring back the last known South African footage of Terence, shot on   
   betacam. I'm taking my Sony Mini DV player/recorder, the DSR-11, with me   
   and i'll firewire the copying in Joburg because the owner of the tapes   
   doesn't wanna entrust them to the mail service. Interestingly, back in   
   '96, my partner, Mike and myself, went to the original Rustlers valley   
   'gathering', and now he's accompanying me on this latest trip. Mike is a   
   senior academic attached to one of the Universities here, but besides   
   this, Mike is like the 'lawyer' in the Fear and Loathing. We're a   
   'very' strange crew. We even look somewhat alike.
