schwann: i've never quite thought of it in that light, but yes, you're
   also right..

well, let's have the facts by all means, starting with the para on me
above. though i asked for a subsidy on the net, it was only because i
like networking because interesting stuff sometimes happens.....not
because i needed gas and new tyres. i was thinking more along the lines
of a $200,000 advance on a decent road movie with the solipse as the
star...neither is my 4X4 'that' old. hell, it's only just done 100,000
miles. i've used it this year to do the Cedarberg mountains, and 2 trips
to Sutherland to film the SALT telescope...besides this it's useful for
transporting crew, camera equipment et al....but the thing that really
worries me about programmers is their total disregard for time...it's
like they're not in the real world. for sure, they talk a different
language, but they eat, shit, piss, and puke like everyone else...and
how would i know about programmers> well gee wizz, i just happen to own
half of a company that besides doing broadcast TV and mulktimedia
authoring also offers programs written in C+ and any other suitable
language, incl VB etc..so I'm in daily contact with the Uber
Programmer...we have no problem understanding each other, except when it
comes to time:) in fact, we've just come out of a very lucrative
position with the largest ISP in SA, where we ran their games servers
for 5 years, incl writing our own proprietory connection software for
games like Quake, HL, Star Craft, and all games that run DirectX....

It's easy to understand the alienation in ARK, and that's obviously why
I'm here......but the same Tolstoyan question should still be asked over
   and over...

   "what's to be done?"

   schwann cybershaman

ps..the solar eclipse was almost exactly a year ago...how come you're
only getting to it now? could you be running as much as a year late?
