Responsibilities
ˇ Design and implement test strategies, test plans, test procedures,
test scripts, test cases, and test effort estimates
ˇ Ensure the documentation and communication of test results
ˇ Internalize customer problems and goals, and identify usability and
user-interface concerns
ˇ Lead SQA participation in software design, testing and support
activities
ˇ Identify and analyze requirements (implicit and explicit), failure
modes, and quality factors
ˇ Managed outsourced test engineering
Skills & Attributes
ˇ Black box test case design skills such as
o Equivalence partitioning
o Boundary analysis
o State modeling
ˇ Clear verbal and written communication skills
ˇ Team player, detail oriented, superb organizational skills
ˇ Able to consistently and accurately estimate test effort and track
progress
ˇ Able to plan and prioritize multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines
ˇ Able to anticipate, foresee and act on problems
ˇ Able to manage risk associated with job responsibilities
ˇ Able to recommend several approaches to solving assigned testing
activities including the use of different combinations of testing tools and
techniques
Experience Required
ˇ University degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or
equivalent academic program
ˇ Over 4 years experience in Software Quality Assurance working in
testing software in a commercial software development environment
ˇ Good knowledge of Linux, J2EE, Oracle, Internetworking and web
service technologies
