Most judges spend more hours than you realize, dealing with paperwork,
research, signing orders and even just administering a courtroom. Despite
the opinion that judges sit around for most of the day doing little, a busy
courtroom actually usually has an even busier judge. Admittedly a judge in
traffic court doesn't have a need for a lot of research but said judge
would still need to deal with overwhelming amounts of paperwork.
